
It is normal for children to fear about certain events or circumstances like being in a school play, passing a growling dog, or sleep in the dark. But More often, these fears are exaggerated and even irrational. Some children may develop an irrational fear very serious that can be clinically considered a phobia. In Medically, the phobia refers to a type of anxiety disorder. This is a strong, irrational fear of something that poses little or no apparent distress. This is the form of fear does not disappear as easily as the most common types of fear, like to see a monster in a horror movie. If a child has a phobia, sense safety and welfare is affected.

Behavior therapy is done by modifying and gain control over unwanted behavior of the child. This type of therapy gives the child a sense of control over their lives. Cognitive therapy on the other hand, tries to change unproductive thinking patterns and harmful. The child examines his feelings and learn to separate fact from unrealistic thoughts. By perform relaxation techniques, children with phobias that develop the capacity to deal with stress that contribute to phobia, as well as physical symptoms thereof. These are just some of effective therapy treatments that a child can receive help to end their phobias, making them more open to life and what it has to offer.
