
I am exhausted and want to go to sleep, but I'm too afraid of the dark?
I'm 13 and I definitely have a serious problem that is affecting my sleep pattern. I have a phobia of the dark, and even when I turn on the lights, I'm afraid to close my eyes because I can not see anything. I once had a panic attack because once turned lights off, and it was pitch black. My body just kind of froze, my heart stopped then started beating very fast. It was the scariest thing, and I was so surprised I could not move, therefore he could not move his arm to turn the light on for a while. Yesterday I was an idiot and seen The Grudge. Now I'm fucking afraid the child and her mother are after me. = (No more scary movies for me, but still. Even without the movies I'm terrified of the dark fear. I am so tired and just want to sleep. Even as I write this I'm afraid. Help? Ohh I like milk. C: Ohh I like milk. C:
I was exactly the same as you and I had years of terror, I could not sleep and it was so scared. But nothing, I just got over (I do not know how) and now I do not mind at all! You have to relax before bed, read some light on the bed and finally get so tired that you sleep! You may also have a bath warm before bedtime or a little milk to help relax and feel tired.
